Application for 2022 CMF postgraduate scholarship to study in Canada or the UK is now open. This page will provide you with the necessary information to apply for this scholarship.
This scholarship provided by the Canada Memorial Foundation (CMF) is awarded annually. Each year, the foundation support students to study for a postgraduate at universities in UK and Canada.
The scholarship is awarded in two categories:
1. Canadian students wishing to study in UK and
2. UK students wishing to study in Canada

How much is this scholarship worth?
The CMF postgraduate scholarship (for those who will be studying in UK) will cover all tuition fees for one academic year. And provide recipients with a total cash award of £10,000 to cover:
i. A monthly stipend of £800 for 11 months, paid into the recipient’s UK bank account.
The first payment would be on the 1st of August (about one month before the start of your programme) and the last would be on the 1st of June.
ii. An initial payment of £1,200 to cover the cost of a return airfare and other travel expenses, payable on 1st July before your programme starts).
The CMF postgraduate scholarship (for those who will be studying in Canada) will cover all cost of studying for a postgraduate degree at a Canadian institution.
Which programs does this scholarship cover?
CMF scholarship is available to study a one-year postgraduate degree in any study area.
Which Nationalities are eligible?
As mentioned above in the scholarship category, this award is available to citizens and residents of Canada and UK.
Who can apply?
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, please confirm that you meet the following criteria.
A. Canadian students wishing to study in UK
You should:
1. Be a citizen of, and resident in Canada.
2. Have a strong reason to study at a top UK university (ideally in the Public Policy area).
3. Have an offer of a place on a masters course from your chosen UK university.
4. Have relevant work experience (minimum 3 years) and
5. Be under 28 years old by the scholarship closing date.
B. UK students wishing to study in Canada
You should:
1. Be a citizen of, and resident in the UK.
2. Hold, or expect to hold a bachelor’s degree (first or upper second-class Honours).
