Colt Foundation fellowship in Occupational/Environment Health UK 2022

Application is now open for Colt Foundation Fellowship in Occupational/Environmental Health in UK for 2022.

The Colt Foundation offers these fellowships each year to help students study for a PhD in occupational or environmental health at a UK university.

Fellowships are usually for three years. Though the Foundation says it considers applications for funding over shorter periods from applicants who have already started a PhD.

How much is the fellowship worth?

The amount for the scholarship in 2021/22 is £15,609 (£17,609 for students in London). According to the Colt Foundation, the amount rises each year, depending on UK inflation.

As an international student, it means you’re expected to meet the difference in UK and International tuition fee rate. Because the scholarship amount is in UK tuition fee rate.

The scholarship also include a sum to cover research expenses.

Which programs does the fellowship cover?

Its open to scholars to carry out research in the area of occupational and environmental health at a UK university.

Who can apply?

The fellowship is open to:

  • scholars qualified in medicine or science and
  • are carrying out research within the eligible field above, in the UK.

How to apply for the fellowship

To apply, you’re required to send your application to Mrs Tash Heydon (through the address below). This should include the following:

i. curriculum vitae (CV).

ii. an outline of the proposed research which demonstrates the occupational content of your work.

iii. detailed letter of support from your proposed supervisor and

iv. contact details of two referees.

NOTE: You must submit your application yourself, not your supervisor. Although, the Colt Foundation expects that your supervisor will have an input to ensure that your project can lead to a successful PhD.
