The HONNIF scholarship is targeted at undergraduate students in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
This scholarship is provided by Hope for Northern Nigeria Foundation (HONNIF). The scholarship scheme is part of its focus in advancing tertiary education in Northern Nigeria.
Awarded annually, the scholarship supports 2500 eligible university undergraduates and Higher National Diploma Students in accredited public universities and polytechnics in Nigeria.
How much is this scholarship worth?
Recipients of the HONNIF scholarship receive Thirty thousand naira (₦30,000) per academic session for the entire duration of their course.
However, to continue receiving this scholarship after the first year, you are required to: maintain a minimum “CGPA equivalent of Second Class (Lower Division)” if you are attending a university and “Upper Credit” if you are in a polytechnic.

The scholarship funds all undergraduate courses offered in Nigerian universities.
Who can apply?
You can apply for HONNIF scholarship 2021 if you:
1. Must be an indigene of Kaduna State.
2. Be studying a full time degree or HND programme in a public university or polytechnic.
3. Be a registered student of your school.
4. Have Credit in five (5) “O” level subjects including English and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings.
5. Must not be more than 27 years of age by the date you gained admission into the university.
