International Peace Scholarship in USA and Canada 2022 | how to apply

Students planning to study in USA or Canada are invited to apply for the International Peace Scholarship (IPS) for 2022-23 academic year.

This scholarship is provided annually by the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O).

The IPS scholarships are for international students from various countries for graduate study in Canada and the United States.

How much is this scholarship worth?

The scholarship is worth $12,500. Though lesser amounts may be awarded, depending on individual needs.

Bear in mind that this award is not intended to cover all academic or personal expenses. Therefore, you are required to indicate additional financial resources enough to meet your estimated expenses.

Your additional resources may include; personal/family funds, work scholarships, tuition waivers, teaching assistantships, study grants or other scholarships.

Which programs does the scholarship cover?

All graduate courses at any US or Canadian university are eligible for funding.

However, scholarships are not awarded for online courses, research, internships or for practical training if not combined with coursework.

Which Nationalities are eligible?

The International Peace Scholarship is open to international students from all countries. Citizens of Canada and the United States are not eligible for this scholarship.

Who can apply?

To be eligible for international peace scholarship, you must meet the following criteria.

1. Be qualified for admission into a full-time graduate program. That is, you should be working toward a graduate degree in an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada.

2. Doctoral students who have completed coursework and are working only on dissertations are not eligible as first-time applicants.

How to apply for the scholarship

The international peace scholarship application is completed online. The 2022/2023 application will open from September 15 2021.

When is the deadline?

The 2022-23 international peace scholarship application close December 15, 2021 at the latest. Please refer to their website for additional information.
