The IsDB scholarships are some of the most prestigious awards aimed at supporting international students to study abroad.

This scholarship is available for undergraduate study at universities abroad in the 2021/2022 academic year.

What’s the value of this award?

IsDB scholarship covers the following costs:

• Monthly stipend in line with the living cost at the country of study.
• Tuition fees subject to ISDB’s approval.
• Cost of medical treatment at university/government hospital.
• Economy class return air tickets (once at the time of starting and on completion of study) and installation and equipment allowance for the students selected to study abroad at partnered universities/countries.

Can I know more about this scholarship?

i. This scholarship is provided by the Islamic Development Bank.

ii. The IsDB scholarships are aimed at assisting Muslim communities, as well as Muslim communities in non-member states in human capital development.

iii. This scholarship is awarded every year to high achieving international students.

iv. Applicants can chose to study in any country of choice. You are required to select a country of study while completing the scholarship application.

The IsDB scholarships are open to citizens of ISDB member-countries or Muslim communities in non-member countries.

Who can apply?

To be considered for Islamic Development Bank scholarship, you must:

1. Be a high achieving student academically with a strong desire to engage in social services and community development after graduation.

2. Be a citizen of any of the ISDB member countries or Muslim communities in non-member countries.  Candidates from non-member countries must be a Muslim.

3. Have obtained a high school diploma or registered in one of the top 10 public/government universities in your home country.

4. Have a minimum of 70% in your high school/secondary school final GPA.

5. Choose a field of study listed among the eligible courses (see above) for this scholarship.

6. Provide evidence of language proficiency required by university. The language proficiency must be supported by a document or certificate. For example, a TOEFL, IELTS certificate if you’re studying in English.

7. Provide certified English or French translation of all documents in case they are in other languages.

8. Not be in receipt of any other scholarship at the time of applying for this award and when studying on ISDB scholarship.

9. Be medically fit and willing to undergo medical tests after selection.
