The Italian govt grants are available for foreign citizens (those from other countries) and citizens of Italy who are abroad to study for a Masters degree, PhD or Research Project in Italy.
These grants are provided by the Italian government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) for the 2021/2022 academic year. Grants are offered to complete study courses and research/training programs in public or legally recognized Italian educational institutions.

How much is this scholarship worth?
These awards are fully funded. Grants are awarded for a period starting from January 1st 2022. For renewals, the grant period will start from November 1st 2021. Scholarships must end by October 31st 2022.
Which nationalities are eligible?
These scholarships are open to foreign citizens as well as citizens of Italy abroad.

Who can apply?
To be eligible for these awards, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Hold an appropriate academic qualification required to enroll to the Italian University/Institute.
2. Applicants for Master’s Degree/Higher Education in Arts, Music, and Dance (AFAM) Programmes/ Italian Language and Culture Courses should not be over 28 years old by the application deadline.
Applicants for PhD should not be over 30 years old by the application deadline.
Applicants for Research Projects under academic supervision should not be over 40 years old by the application deadline.
