The New Zealand government provide these scholarships annually to enable international students study at New Zealand fully funded. This page will guide you through the basic information about this scholarship and how you can apply.

New Zealand scholarships are fully funded and typically cover most of the cost of studying for a degree at a university in New Zealand. The award covers:
- tuition fees
- travel expenses
- living allowance
- insurance

Which programs are covered?
You can study almost any undergraduate course with this scholarship. Though there are courses the New Zealand government recommend for recipients of this scholarship to study.
The New Zealand university you’re applying to will recommend the courses you should apply for. Moreover, even if you apply for a different course, you’ll still indicate in your application that you’re in for the New Zealand scholarship.
Meanwhile, according to the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), you can study only at the following New Zealand schools with this scholarship
- Auckland University of Technology
- Lincoln University
- Massey University
- University of Auckland
- University of Canterbury
- University of Otago
- University of Waikato
- Victoria University of Wellington
- Southern Institute of Technology
- Unitec Institute of Technology
- Wintec – Waikato Institute of Technology
However, the scholarship provider says citizens from Pacific countries can choose to study at any of the approved universities outside New Zealand below:
- University of South Pacific
- Fiji National University
- University of Papua New Guinea
- Pacific Adventist University
How about nationality?
New Zealand scholarships are open to international applicants from any country. However, due to travel restrictions, some countries may not be eligible certain application cycle.
