These scholarships cover:
- course fees and a grant given toward living costs at Oxford and
- an internship grant up to £3,000 during your study.
The scholarship lasts for 3 or 4 years depending on your course duration. However, you will only enjoy this scholarship for the first four years if you are studying a six-year medical course.

This Oxford scholarship is available to students of Black African or Caribbean heritage.
Who can apply?
To be eligible for this Oxford-Arlan Hamilton and Earline Butler Sims Scholarship, you must:
- be ordinarily resident in the UK;
- have Black African or Caribbean heritage;
- be applying to study for your first undergraduate degree.

1. Apply to the University of Oxford for an undergraduate course through UCAS, and be given an admission offer for 2021 entry.
2. Complete the scholarship application form online before the deadline.
Successful candidates for this University of Oxford scholarship will be notified in August, 2021.
