This scholarship covers tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years of your course.
What you should know about this undergraduate scholarship in Canada
– The scholarship is sponsored by the University of Toronto, Canada (U of T). In fact, it is University of Toronto’s most prestigious scholarship for international students.
– This undergraduate scholarship is awarded, and taken at University of Toronto in Canada.
– A total of 37 international students are awarded this scholarship each year. You could be one!
– Applicants must be able to commence study at University of Toronto by January 2021. Therefore, you’re expected to hold an offer of a place on a full time course at U of T to enjoy this scholarship. And, your course must be starting in January 2021.
– This scholarship is for international students from all countries (except Canada).
Who can apply?
To be awarded this undergraduate scholarship in Canada, you must:
- a high achiever in academic and creative pursuits.
- have demonstrated strong leadership skills.
- an original and creative thinker committed to school and community.
- be international student. That is, a non-Canadian citizen or permanent resident requiring a study permit to study in Canada.
- currently be in your final year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2019. That is, you must be in SS3 or have finished secondary school in 2019.
- be intending to start your studies at University of Toronto in the 2020/2021 academic year.

You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are:
- already attending a tertiary institution (post-secondary) OR
- starting your studies at a tertiary institution other than U of T in 2020.

How to apply
To apply for this scholarship, you need to:
- Receive a nomination from your school. (High schools/secondary schools not already contacted/verified are asked to submit an application to participate in the University of Toronto scholarship program. Your secondary school can submit their at the U of T website.
- Apply to study at the University of Toronto to begin your studies in 2020. And, complete your application for admission by the appropriate deadlines on the university website.
- Once the University of Toronto receive a nomination and you’ve applied to the university, you can complete the online Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application.
Successful candidates are chosen on the basis of their application and meeting the eligibility criteria.
