Taking WAEC GCE this year?

This is to officially inform the general public and mostly potential candidates for the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) that WAEC Nigeria have announced the official deadline for 2021 WASSCE Registration for private candidates (first series).

The council in a press conference stated that 29 January, 2021 is the official is deadline for the registration of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates, 2021-First Series.

This news was disclosed over the weekend by the council Head of Public Affairs, Mr. Demianus Ojijeogu who confirmed to newsmen that the deadline which was fixed by the council headquarter at Benin City, Edo state was confirmed.

In his, statement he said:

“The West African Examinations Council invites potential and eligible candidates to register for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination ( WASSCE) for private candidates, which is 2021-First Series.”

He went further to inform the general public that registration pins can only be obtained centres accredited by WAEC. After Registration, candidates should print their registration slip and obtain information CDs that will be given to them.

Reacting to the release, Mr Ojijeogu explained that “The public announcement is from our WAEC Zonal offices, Benin City, Edo State.

This information applies to Nigerians who want to sit for WASSCE this year. And the pin can be gotten from any WAEC office nearest to them.

How to register for 2021 WAEC GCE

Eligible persons can walk to any branches of any of the following banks or any accredited agent and obtain the Registration PIN.

How much is the registration fee?

WAEC GCE registration fee is Thirteen Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty Naira (₦13,950) only.

When is the deadline?

2021 WAEC GCE (firsts series) registration closes on Friday 29th January, 2021.
