List of federal universities in Nigeria school fees (2023)

The school fees of federal universities in Nigeria have seen a steady rise.

And many students have started protesting school fees increment in some federal universities.

Also, Wesyc conducted an online survey in 2019. This result revealed that the primary reason Nigerian students drop out of school is finance. Poor academic performance came second in that survey.

Moreover, we find that school fees of federal universities are like commodity prices.

Once they go up, hardly comes down.

And, come to think that most Nigerian universities have devised means of milking students of more funds (aside school fees).

They hide under the guise of ‘registration’.

For example, a federal university publicly declare their school fee is ₦25,000.

When you add up registration, particularly for those in first-year, it sums up to almost ₦100,000.

Also, first-year students are required to pay acceptance fee.

That’s aside cost of textbooks and other academic materials.

That’s one of the reasons Nigerian students are studying abroad.

This post contains the school fees (aside other charges) of all federal universities in Nigeria.

Maybe you just left secondary school.

Maybe you have been thinking of a cheap federal university to study.
