MORA scholarship for research degree in Australia (2024)

MORA is an abbreviation of Ministry of Religious Affairs, Indonesia. The ministry partners with Central Queensland University (CQ University) to provide these scholarships to international students.

So if you’re looking to study for a research degree and you’re from Indonesia, you could be eligible for this award.

What does the scholarship cover?

This scholarship provides 100% of tuition fees and other financial support for 4 years.

Who can apply?

To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

1. Meet the MORA eligibility criteria. You can check that on the MORA website

2. Be a citizen of Indonesia

3. Apply for a CQUniversity Australia research higher degree .

4. Commence full-time enrolment as an onshore international student at CQUniversity Australia.

5. 4. Meet the academic requirements for entry to CQUniversity Australia (including IELTS 6.0 minimum) and be offered a place in the course

Below are the RHD focus areas for 2024:

1. Data science – artificial intelligence, machine learning, internet of things, information systems, big data.

2. Agriculture – precision livestock, precision horticulture, agricultural education and extension.

3. Workforce research – attraction, retention and development of regional workforces.

4. Rural, regional and public health – patient care, models of care, simulation.

5. Energy systems – clean energy, microgrids, hydrogen, biofuels and social licence to operate.

6. Supply chains and the circular economy – regional economies.

7. Education – curriculum and pedagogy including home economics and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).

How to apply

Please follow the steps below to apply for this scholarship:

• Apply for a research degree at Central Queensland University Australia.
• Fill the Expression of Interest form. Through this form, you will be required to select your course and location, along with a brief description of your proposed research topic.
• Once your Expression of Interest is approved, you will be provided with contacts for prospective research supervisors, and invited to work with them to formally apply for your research higher degree.
• Complete an application for the scholarship on the MORA website.
• Apply to study at CQUniversity Australia. If you have been awarded a scholarship before your course application, please ensure you indicate it when applying to the university.
