Modern European language scholarships in UK 2021-22 | how to apply

The Modern European language scholarships provide an opportunity for the most outstanding students to study in the UK.

Can I know more about this language scholarship?

i. This scholarship is funded by the University College London (UCL), UK.

ii. UCL awards these language scholarships almost every year to new incoming students.

iii. Ten (10) scholarships will be awarded to incoming students starting school in the 2021/2022 academic year.

iv. The Modern European language scholarships are available for undergraduate studies only.

What’s the value of this award?

The language scholarship is worth up to £10,000. The scholarship will provide £2,500 per year for the duration of your course. That is, a maximum of four years.

You will be able to renew this scholarship if you have an average of 2:1 in each academic session.

What courses can I study with this scholarship?

The eligible courses for this scholarship are;

i Undergraduate programmes at the UCL School of European Languages, Culture & Society (SELCS) or

ii. Language-based programmes offered by the UCL School of Slavonic & Eastern European Studies (SSEES).

Which nationalities are eligible?

This scholarship is open to students from any country who want to study any of the specified programmes at University College London.

Who can apply?

To apply for the language scholarship, you must:

Hold an admission offer from University College London to study a full-time undergraduate programme offered by any of the eligible UCL schools for the 2021/22 entry.

How to apply for this scholarship

No separate application form is required for this scholarship.

Once you have applied to University College London for admission into any of the eligible programmes above.

And have been given admission, you will automatically be considered for a Modern European Language Scholarship.

NOTE:

The Modern European language scholarship at University College London, UK is awarded primarily on the basis of academic merit. Therefore, financial circumstances are not taken into account.

Successful applicants will be notified once the University College London makes decision on this award by mid-September, 2021.

It’s an automatic scholarship. Apply before the deadline for admission application into University College London for 2021/2022 entry. For more information, please refer to their website.
