MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition 2023

Application for the 2023 MTN mPulse Spelling Bee competition has started. This page has all the information you need to apply.

The competition is open to student in primary and secondary schools. And must be between the ages of 9 and 15 to take part in this competition.

The competition is provided by MTN Nigeria in partnership with Nestle Golden Morn. The competition which holds every year, is in its third edition of the competition and it holds every year.

What’s in the competition?

Below are the prizes for the mPulse spelling bee compeition.

Prize for 1st position:

i. For the student >  ₦2 million scholarship grant, winners trophy, 1 laptop, 1 smartphone, mPulse Goodybag and 1 Golden Morn Carton.

ii. For the teacher > ₦350,000 cash prize.

iii. For the school > MTN Education Suites (ICT devices), 10 MTN Hynetflex Routers, 10 laptops.

Prize for 2nd position:

i. For the student >  ₦1 million scholarship grant, 1 smartphone, mPulse Goodybag, and 1 Golden Morn Carton.

ii. For the teacher > ₦200,000 cash prize.

Prize for 3rd position:

i. For the student >  ₦750,000 scholarship grant, 1 smartphone, mPulse Goodybag, and 1 Golden Morn Carton.

ii. For the teacher > ₦100,000 cash prize.

Prize for 4th – 10th position:

i. For each student >  ₦200,000 scholarship grant, mPulse Goodybag, and 1 Golden Morn Carton.

ii. For each teacher> ₦50,000 cash prize.

Prize for 11th – 20th position:

i. For each student >  ₦100,000 scholarship grant, mPulse Goodybag, and 1 Golden Morn Carton.

Who’s eligible

To participate in spelling bee competition, you must:

1. be a student of a primary or secondary school in Nigeria.

2. be between 9 and 15 years (by August 2023). That is, you must not be less than 9 years old or more than 15 years old.

3. Make sure the phone number you use in registering for MTN spelling bee competition is on mPulse tariff plan. If its not, dial *344*1# to migrate your phone number to mPulse tariff plan.

4. be living in Nigeria at the time of applying.

To help you position yourself to succeed at this competition, please note the following points.

mPulse Spelling Bee competition has 3 stages. The first stage will be done on the MTN mPulse website and is open to all students staying in Nigeria who are at least 9 years old and not more than 15 years old.

The top 1,000 students from the first round will be invited for the second round of the competition that will also take place on the mPulse website.

The first 20 students with the highest scores from the second round will qualify for the 3rd stage and grand finale that will be done online through live video conferencing.
