i. This scholarship is provided by the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada.
ii. The scholarship is awarded under the Vantage One Excellence Award scheme at UBC.
iii. These scholarships are offered to undergraduate students entering the UBC Vantage One Program, and are based on academic merit.
Note: UBC’s Vantage One program is for academically strong international students whose English language proficiency does not yet meet the requirements for direct admission into UBC.

Which nationalities are eligible?
This fully funded scholarship in Canada is open to international students from any country.
Who can apply?
To be considered for e Vantage One excellence scholarship in Canada, you must:
1. Be an international student who will be studying in Canada on a Canadian study permit;
2. Be graduating or have recently graduated from a recognized senior secondary school;
3. Have graduated from high school no earlier than the month of June two years prior to the academic year you are applying to.
For example, applicants for 2022 must have graduated from high school no earlier than June 2020.
4. Be starting your undergraduate studies at UBC in the UBC Vantage One Program.
5. Meet the UBC Vantage College admission requirements.
6. Demonstrate superior academic achievement.
Note: You cannot hold the Vantage One excellence scholarship with other scholarships provided by University of British Columbia.

How do I apply?
Application for the 2022 academic year will be available in September/October 2021. Please check back as this page is regularly updated.
You are required to first complete the online undergraduate course application into University of British Columbia. Thereafter, you complete the scholarship application.

When is the deadline?
Applicants are required to submit both the UBC course application and scholarship application latest January 5, 2022.
Successful applicants will be notified by April, 2022. For full terms and conditions, please refer to their website.
