A graduate research scholarship at University of Melbourne is worth 100% fee remission and up to $110,000.

More specifically, the covers the following cost:

1. Full fee offset for up to two years for students undertaking a Masters by Research degree, OR

Up to four years for students undertaking a doctoral degree.

2. Living allowance of $31,200 per year pro rata (2020 full-time study rate) for up to two years for students undertaking a Masters by Research degree, OR

Up to 3.5 years for students undertaking a doctoral degree.

The living allowance may be indexed annually and includes limited paid sick, maternity and parenting leave.

3. Relocation grant of $3000 for international students moving from outside Australia.

4. Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Single Membership for international students.

Category one:

If you are a new international student and have applied for a graduate research course at University of Melbourne before the deadline, you will be automatically considered for this scholarship.

The University of Melbourne will send you an email stating that application for this scholarship has been added to your profile. This happens within seven days of submitting your graduate course application.

Category two:

If you have accepted a graduate research admission offer but deferred your commencement in order to be reconsidered for this scholarship, you must submit the scholarship application to be considered for the scholarship next year.

Thereafter, the University of Melbourne will send you an email within seven days.

Category three:

If you are currently enrolled in a graduate research degree, you will also need to complete the scholarship application.
