Applications for Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth scholarships (QECS) are now open for 2024.
These scholarships are provided annually. And are available for international students to study at any of the selected universities below:
- The University of the South Pacific, Fiji, Samoa an Vanuatu
- Stellenbosch University, South Africa
- Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa
- University of Pretoria, South Africa
- University of Colombo, Sri Lanka
- University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka
The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth scholarships funds only master’s degree. Applicants are to apply for an eligible master’s course at any of the aforementioned universities.
Do well to check each university’s admission requirement for masters. Because their entry requirements, as well as eligible courses for this award vary.

What does the scholarship cover?
- Fully-funded tuition fees
- Living allowance (stipend) for duration of the scholarship
- Return economy flights to host country
- One-off arrival allowance. That is, one-time payment on your arrival at study destination
- Research Support Grant (on request only; subject to approval)
How to apply
Apply for the scholarship through the ACU scholarship page. You are also required to apply to your university of choice alongside your scholarship application.
Deadline
Applications close on 24 May 2023.
