Saïd Foundation scholarships for MSc in UK 2024

Applications are now open for Saïd Foundation scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic year. If eligible, did you know that you can study in the UK on a full scholarship? This scholarship makes it possible.

Saïd Foundation awards these scholarships annually. If you meet the criteria, you may be awarded.

Candidates should also apply for any one-year master’s course at one of the following partner universities:

  • University of Birmingham
  • University of Bristol
  • University of Cambridge
  • Durham University
  • The University of Edinburgh
  • University of Essex
  • University of Exeter
  • University of Glasgow
  • Goldsmiths University of London
  • Imperial College London
  • King’s College London
  • University College London
  • University of Leeds
  • University of Leicester
  • London School of Economics
  • Loughborough University
  • University of Nottingham
  • University of Oxford
  • Oxford Brookes University
  • Royal Holloway University of London
  • SOAS University of London
  • University of Southampton
  • University of Sussex
  • University of Warwick
  • University of York

However, if your course of study is not offered at any of the above universities, you can apply to a non-partner university and notify Saïd Foundation in your application.

The scholarship funds the whole cost of a master’s degree course in UK.

Who is eligible

To be considered for a Saïd Foundation, you must meet the criteria below:

1. Be a citizen of, and permanently reside in:

  • Syria
  • Jordan
  • Lebanon
  • Palestine

According to the Saïd Foundation, Syrians residing elsewhere due to current circumstances in that country will also be considered.

2. Hold an undergraduate degree that is equivalent to a UK 2:1 degree or higher. Candidates who are in the final year of their undergraduate degree will also be considered.

3. Have work and/or voluntary experience that is relevant to your field of study and a clear career path on completion of your studies and return to your home country or region.

4. Demonstrate leadership potential in your chosen field or sector.

5. Have applied for an eligible course at a partner university mentioned above (or have legitimate exceptional reasons for applying to a non-partner university).

6. Meet the Foundation’s English language requirements (please see here for more details). Some universities have higher requirements; candidates must meet the English language requirements of their chosen university too.

7. Upload all required documents.

Here are the documents you need to apply for the scholarship:

  • A copy of your high school certificate
  • A copy of your transcript
  • A copy of your passport or National ID Card
  • A copy of your English language test result or confirmation of English language test date
  • Offer letter from your chosen UK university or evidence that you have applied
  • Three reference letters
  • Copy of your CV

Once you have determined your eligibility using the criteria above, complete the scholarship application online.

Deadline

The scholarship application close at 5pm UK time on 31st October 2023.
