If you are a student of African origin and planning to study in UK on scholarship, this information may be helpful for you. The University of Glasgow is offering African Excellence Award for eligible students from Africa entering its programmes for the 2024 entry.
These scholarships are well funded and available on merit to deserving students.
What’s in the scholarship?
This scholarship covers full tuition fee.
Up to 15 scholarships will be awarded to International students from Africa, starting a 1 year postgraduate taught Masters programme, in any discipline for 2024/25 academic session.
Who is eligible
To qualify for this scholarship, you must meet the criteria below:
1. Demonstrate academic excellence and achieve grades equivalent to a UK 1st Class Honours;
2. Have an admission offer for postgraduate taught one year Masters programme for September 2024 intake (you don’t need to have an offer to apply for the scholarship but you’re required to have an offer to be considered for interview).
3. Be an international student;
4. Be domiciled in Africa;
5. Be able to demonstrate a clear career and/or development plan that will be supported by Masters level study (via application form);
6. Be able to provide evidence of meeting the UKVI maintenance/living costs by 30th June 2024 (only required if offered scholarship following successful interview).
