Masters scholarships in Netherland for EU students 2021 | apply

The Future Matters masters scholarships offer EU and Japan students an opportunity to study for a full-time degree in the Netherland.

This scholarship aim to help you in to develop as you’ll be matched with a mentor to help you throughout your studies in Holland.

What’s the value of this award?

The scholarship is worth € 5,000 (except for students from Turkey and Japan) and a mentorship.

You will receive € 4,500 in two instalments of € 2,250 each during the academic year and € 500 at the end of your studies.

NOTE: Part of this scholarship is reserved for tuition fees. Therefore, students from non-EEA countries like Turkey and Japan pay a much higher tuition fee than EEA students.

This mean the scholarship for Turkish and Japanese students is larger (up to a maximum of € 20,000).

Can I know more about this scholarship?

i. This scholarship is awarded under the Future Matters (FM) scholarship program.

ii. The Future Matters scholarship is awarded annually to support students who want to study in the Netherlands.

iii. The scholarship is awarded for a master’s degree only.

iv. The master’s degree programme starts in September of the 2021-2022 academic year.

v. Applicants for this scholarship should be willing to study at any of the participating universities.

Which are the participating universities?

Applicants of FM scholarships should plan to study only at one of the 7 Dutch universities below:

1. Utrecht University;

2. VU Amsterdam;

3. University of Amsterdam;

4. Tilburg University;

5. Erasmus University;

6. Maastricht University;

7. Radboud University Nijmegen.

Which programs are covered?

This scholarship is awarded in the field the following fields:

  • Finance;
  • Risk management;
  • Economics;
  • Data Science or
  • Entrepreneurship.

Which Nationalities are eligible?

The Future Matters scholarship is open to students from the following countries:

Belgium Bulgaria
Czech Republic Greece
Hungary Japan
The Netherlands Poland
Romania Slovakia
Spain Turkey

Am I eligible?

To be considered for a future matters scholarship, you must:

1. Be from one of the countries mentioned above.

2. Be a first-generation academic, i.e. your parents or guardians don’t have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).

3. Meet the admission requirement of the university you’re applying to.

4. Not have studied or worked abroad.

How do I apply?

The next application round will open in January 2021. And the application procedure will be available on this website.

When is the deadline?
