Applications are now open for University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) internship for 2023. These vacancies are open to graduates of medical courses for the one-year mandatory internship program.
Who can apply
Recruitment into UBTH is open for the following positions.
3. Medical Laboratory:
- Chemical Pathology Interns
- Histopathology Interns
- Medical Microbiology Interns
- Hematology Interns
4. Nursing Services Interns
5. Occupational Therapy Interns
6. Radiography Interns
7. Optometry Interns
8. Physiotherapy Interns
Eligibility
To apply, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Have a Bachelor’s degree in your discipline
2. Have provisional registration with the Regulatory Professional Body for your profession.
Duties of Interns
If successful in your application, you would be required to perform the duties corresponding to the position you applied for. As well as other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time by the university management.
How to apply
Please follow the steps below to apply for the UBTH internship.
1. Log on to ubth.org
2. Download the UBTH internship application form
3. Complete the application form and attach all relevant qualifications including:
- academic certificate
- birth certificate/affidavit of age declaration
- professional license
- logbook (where applicable) etc.
And submit to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital Human Resource Department.
Internship interview
The UBTH interview date will be announced by the hospital management later.#

Applications for UBTH internship must be submitted through the procedure above latest 27th March 2023.
