Application is now open for UNICAL hostel accommodation for the 2020/2021 academic session. Find below the full details, including how much for the hostel space and how you can apply.

Recall that the University of Calabar resumed for the 2020/2021 academic session on 13th September 2021. Here is the full UNICAL 2020/2021 academic calendar.

Now, the university has opened its online application for hostel accommodation for students interested in staying on campus.

Bear in mind that these hostels are inside the university campus. Therefore, if you are not interested in staying in school hostel, you should not bother to apply. That means this post is not for you.

How much is UNICAL hostel accommodation now?

The university of calabar has reviewed its hostel accommodation charges for the 2020/2021 academic session. Below is the current UNICAL hostel accommodation charge for all hostels.

A. Hall 2, Hall 2 Annex, Hall 4, Hall 5, Hall 5 Annex, Hall 6, Hall 7, Hall 8 and Hall 9:

The charge for a bed space in all the hostels in category A is ₦21,500. In this arrangement, there are 4 occupants to a room.

B. Female Special Hostel:

The female special hostel accommodation charge is ₦60,000 for a bed space. This hostel is self contained and has 2 occupants to room.

How to apply for UNICAL hostel accommodation 2020/2021

Before starting an application, bear in mind that you’re required to have paid your school fees to be eligible to apply.

Therefore, you won’t be able to apply for hostel if you haven’t paid your school fees yet. Check out UNICAL school fees for 2020/2021.

If you have paid your school fees, please follow the steps below to apply for UNICAL hostel accommodation.

1. Log on to UNICAL hostel application portal 2020/2021

2. Enter the PIN on your school fees receipt.

3. Select the academic session from the drop down (2020/2021).

4. Click ‘Validate’

5. Complete the application form by selecting your hostel of choice.

6. Submit.

That’s all, you have applied for UNICAL hostel.

When is the deadline?

The closing date to apply for hostel space is Wednesday 6th October, 2021.
