The University of Calabar (UNICAL) predegree programme has been expanded recently by the school authorities. Because of that and other factors, UNICAL predegree admission just started.
The aim of this page is to update you about UNICAL predegree admission for the 2020/2021 academic year.
First, its important to know that although the predegree admission list hasn’t been released at the time of writing this, all candidates who applied for the predegree will be admitted. But it will be available here once released this week.
Over the years, 99.9% of applicants for UNICAL predegree are offered admission to start the predegree programme. So if you are one of UNICAL predegree applicants, you shouldn’t have worries.
And in case you haven’t applied, application for UNICAL predegree 2021 is ongoing. You can also check out the list of UNICAL predegree courses available for admission on completion of the programme.
The pandemic that disrupted academic activities last year affected UNICAL academic calendar. Which means the school is behind by one academic session.
So at the time of writing this, UNICAL is still in the 2019/2020 academic session. Though we’re currently writing second semester exams to move to the new session (2020/2021).
Therefore, the current predegree admission is for 2020/2021 academic year. That means the current predegree application is for the 2020/2021 predegree admission.
No doubt, its clear and you have a better understanding now.
UNICAL Predegree 2021 admission list
According to UNICAL Directorate of Predegree when contacted by Wesyc, UNICAL predegree admission list 2021 will be released and pasted on the notice board on or before 13th September, 2021.
UNICAL Predegree 2021 resumption date
The University of Calabar Directorate of Predegree says newly admitted predegree students are to resume on Monday 13th September, 2021.
Lectures are scheduled to commence immediately for predegree students.
UNICAL Predegree 2021 screening procedure
Upon resumption, all University of Calabar predegree students are required to undergo a screening exercise. Its all about submitting your credentials for documentation and clearance.
As soon as you get to UNICAL, go to the Directorate of Predegree Programmes. It is located inside the CES building (behind the library).
UNICAL predegree office is on the ground floor of the CES building, room 1 to your right once you walk into the building. Use this UNICAL Campus Map for help.
You are required to come along with originals and photocopies of the following documents for 2021 UNICAL predegree admission screening:
1. CES Application Slip (the one you printed online after applying for the predegree)
2. O’level Results (WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB or combine)
3. JAMB Registration Slip or JAMB Printout Registration Number
4. Certificate of Local Government of Origin
5. Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
6. Six (6) Passport Photographs
As mentioned earlier, UNICAL predegree screening 2021 starts on Monday September 13th, 2021. I wish you all the best as you resume.
Bear in mind that nobody has a right to hold your original documents. So the original copies will be given back to you immediately after checking. Its only the photocopies that will be collected from you.

Predegree lectures commence immediately after screening. Also, 16 year old can apply and start the UNICAL predegree programme.

It has not ended and you can still do your screening. It only started on 13th September and it continues. You can prepare as well to do it on 20th September. Please do that and don’t be worried agaian.

Go and resume school. You are not suppose to check predegree admission list online (for candidates admitted to start predegree). You are suppose to check the list pasted at UNICAL predegree center. The one on the portal is for students who are admitted from predegree into 100 level. So don’t be confused.

The thing is, provided your o’level results are complete, you’ll certainly be given admission. I advise you prepare to resume school and do your predegree screening from the date indicated there.

You don’t have to be confused. All students who applied for the UNICAL predegree (except those without o’level results) will be admitted to start the predegree programme. So the said admission list will include everybody. Therefore, it is fine to start doing predegree screening because it has started. 08179683487

UNICAL has already resumed for predegree students. Go to school with the documents listed there and do your screening.
