The scholarship is provided by Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) to international students who are recommended by Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), Japan.
This scholarship is available for graduate studies at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) in Japan. That means you must be willing to study at APU.
Scholarship Package
This MEXT scholarship for graduate studies covers:
i. Full admission fee
ii. 100% of tuition (covered by the APU Tuition Reduction Scholarship)
iii. 144,000 JPY per month for living expenses (amount subject to change)
iv. Economy class air travel between the home country and APU at the beginning and end of the program.
Who can apply?
To be eligible for this MEXT scholarship, you must:
1. intend to study in Japan.
2. be from a MEXT recognized country.
3. be born on or after April 2, 1988.
4. have achieved a GPA of at least 2.30 on a 3.00 scale at your most recent university.
How to apply
Follow the steps below:
1. submit online graduate application to APU on their website.
2. submit the APU application by November 16, 2022 (for September 2023 Enrollment).
3. APU reviews application documents and selects outstanding candidates to recommend to MEXT.
4. Applicants selected to be recommended for this scholarship are notified with their final APU application results.
5. Selected applicants complete and submit additional MEXT application documents to APU.
6. The final scholarship award results are decided by MEXT.
