Applications for the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) are now open for 2022. This scholarship is one of the most prestigious awards available to international students.
SINGA is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and the Singapore Management University (SMU).
Therefore, this award is aimed at supporting you to pursue your PhD education in Singapore.
Scholarship Package
The scholarship provides support for up to 4 years of PhD studies including:
i. Tuition fees
ii. Monthly stipend of S$2,200 which will be increased to S$2,700 after the passing of the Qualifying Examination
iii. One-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500
iv. One-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000

Who can apply?
The Singapore International Graduate Award is open to:
i. all international graduates with a passion for research and excellent academic results.
Note: SINGA is intended primarily for international students studying for the first time in Singapore. Therefore, Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents and International students studying/who have studied in Singapore tertiary institutions are not eligible.
ii. Good skills in written and spoken English.
iii. Good reports from academic referees

How to apply
Before starting an application, prepare scanned copies of the following documents.
- Valid passport
- Recent sized photograph
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s academic transcripts
- 2 recommendation reports

Application for August 2023 intake closes on 1 December 2022.
