Applications for Yenching Scholars Award to China are now open for 2023.
These awards are fully funded, and also available to international students who want to pursue graduate education at Peking University, Beijing, China.
Yenching fellowship program is provided by Yenching Academy.
Scholarship Package
The Yenching Scholars Award covers:
- tuition
- accommodation
- monthly stipend
- one round-trip travel fare
- field study costs
Who can apply?
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants should have:
1. at least a bachelor’s degree in any field or currently enrolled in a degree programat Peking University awarded no later than August 31, 2023;
2. an outstanding academic record;
3. strong interest in interdisciplinary study of China;
4. a record of extracurricular achievement, community engagement, social responsibility, and leadership potential;
5. English proficiency.

How to apply
Below are documents you will need to complete application for this scholarship.
- Completed online application form;
- Personal statement (750 words or less);
- Statement of Research Interest (maximum 1500 words, excluding citations);
- Curriculum Vitae;
- Official transcript(s);
- Diploma(s) or Certificate(s) of Enrollment;
- Two academic letters of recommendation;
- English Language Test score
