This award is provided by Queen Mary University of London for MSc applicants who are interested in a career in the area of mental health.

What does the scholarship cover?

This scholarship provide the full tuition fee for the MSc programme. It is valued at £14,250 (UK winner) and an £24,500 (international winner).

Two (2) scholarships will be awarded. One each for a UK and international candidate.

Who is eligible?

You are eligible to apply if:

  • You directly work in mental health or for an organisation that is professionally engaged in the field of mental health.
  • have already applied to study the full-time MSc Mental Health Economics for September 2023 or are yet to apply.

NOTE: You are not required to apply for the MSc programme as a condition to apply for this scholarship.

But you are expected to verify that you qualify for admission into the MSc course, in the event your scholarship application is successful.

As part of the application process for this scholarship, you are required to write an essay that answers this question:

Essay question: What can an economics approach contribute to the study of mental health and/or the design of mental health policy?
