The scholarship is available to study the full-time MSc Health Promotion course at the University of Brighton, UK. And its reserved for applicants from low-income and middle-income countries.
It is a highly competitive scholarship and only one candidate will be award in this application window. Who knows, you could well be the successful candidate.
What does the scholarship cover?
Forward Bound Scholarship is a £25,000 award for the one-year MSc. The scholarship will provide:
- tuition fees
- travel costs
- accommodation
- visa,
- subsistence and
- health insurance
Who is eligible?
Candidates who meet the following criteria can apply:
1. Be from a low-income or lower-middle income country where similar postgraduate education opportunity in health promotion/public health is not available. (Currently, this excludes applicants from Gambia, Ghana and Nigeria).
2. Have been offered admission into the MSc Health Promotion course at Brighton.
3. Be living and/or working in a low income or low-middle income country as defined by the World Bank.#
But you are not eligible to apply if you have previously had an opportunity to study in the UK (or other higher income country).

Forward Bound scholarship application is normally by invitation. Here is how it goes.
You apply to University of Brighton for admission into the MSc Health Promotion.
In the ‘Additional Information’ section of the MSc application form, indicate that you would like to be considered for the Forward Bound scholarship.
If you are deemed eligible (by the criteria above), the university will email you an application pack for the scholarship.
Deadline
The closing date to apply for this scholarship is 31 May 2023. This also mean you should have submitted your MSc application before this date.
