Application for the Rotary Peace Fellowship program is open. If interested in this program, this is the best time to put in an application.
This fellowship is provided by the Rotary Foundation. The program is one of the most well funded fellowships around. It’s awarded for master’s degree and professional development certificate.
Annually, the foundation awards up to 50 fellowships for master’s degrees and up to 40 for professional certificate at top universities.
The master’s is for a duration of 15 to 24 months.
While the professional development certificate is for working professionals. On completing the program, you earn a postgraduate diploma.

Eligibility
Candidates who meet the following criteria can apply for Rotary Peace Fellowship.
For master’s degree and professional certificate program, you must:
1. Be proficient in English
2. Have a bachelor’s degree
3. Have a strong commitment to cross-cultural understanding and peace as shown through professional and academic achievements and personal or community service
4. Have the potential for leadership (for master’s applicants).
Demonstrate leadership skills (for professional certificate applicants).
5. Have at least three years full-time relevant experience in peace or development work (for master’s applicants).
Have at least five years full-time relevant experience in peace or development work (for professional certificate applicants).
6. Be able to explain how your plan to promote peace aligns with Rotary’s mission (for professional certificate applicants).
7. Candidates for Makerere University: Either be from Africa, have worked in Africa, or work with African communities or initiatives outside the continent (for professional certificate applicants).
NOTE:
For both master’s degree and professional certificate candidates:
You must have a gap of at least three years between the completion of your most recent academic degree program (undergraduate or graduate degree) and your intended start date for the fellowship.
You are not eligible to apply for this fellowship if you are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
