How to enter Delta State University of Science Ozoro in 2023

It is no news that what was formerly known as Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro is now Delta State University of Science and Technology.

Earlier this year, the government of Delta State established three new universities. Aside Ozoro, the other two universities are Denis Osadebe University Asaba, and University of Delta Agbor.

The other time, I published a post showing you the full list of courses offered at Delta State University of Science and Technology Ozoro, all accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

Today, I will be showing you how to get admission into Delta State University of Science and Technology Ozoro. It is my hope that you finally gain admission this year.

First things first.

The university commenced academic activities in the 2021/2022 academic session, making those students the pioneer set of the university.

There are several ways to get admission into school in Nigeria. From Predegree to JUPEB, from IJMB to Direct Entry. The most renowned being the UTME conducted by JAMB.

Each year, hundreds of thousands of candidates seek admission into Nigerian universities. A good number of those candidates will jostle for the admission into the newly established Delta State University of Science and Technology.

Since its a new university, its admission process isn’t yet clear to aspirants. That’s why I wrote this post – to show you how to gain admission into Ozoro and what you need to know about the university admission process.

How to gain admission into Ozoro university in 2022/2023

Here are few things you should know about getting admission into Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro.

1. University commenced in 2022

The Delta State University of Science and Technology Ozoro started academic activities from 2021/2022 academic session. This mean the first set of students started school in the first semester of 2022.

Being a new university, admission won’t be very competitive for the first year. That gives you an opportunity to enter school.

2. Have complete O’level

On your way to getting admission into Ozoro, you should already have a complete o’level result.

What I mean by that is; you should have obtained at least five (5) credits in subjects relevant to your chosen course of study.

What if I wrote o’level twice? You are still qualified, provided you have the five credits in a maximum of two sittings. You can combine WAEC and GCE or WAEC and NECO.

3. Enrol JAMB and pass the cut off mark

The single most important thing to do while making effort to study at Ozoro is to enrol JAMB. Write the UTME, and meet the minimum JAMB cut off mark.

While doing so, make sure you have selected the right combination for your course.

This cut off mark is not for admission, though its part of the admission process. It’s to qualify you for Delta State University of Science and Technology Post UTME.

Let me put it in another way; the cut off mark makes you eligible for Ozoro Post UTME.

In 2021, there was no cut off mark for admission. All applicants who wrote jamb and selected ozoro as first choice were eligible for admission.

This page will be updated once the university sets its cut off mark for admission. So do well to regularly check back or save this site/page on your browser for easy access.

After post UTME come admission list. At this point, you get the outcome of all your effort so far.
