Post UTME 2020: JAMB gives date | screening start Sept. 7th

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has given an update regarding conduct of post utme. According to JAMB, Post UTME 2020 screening will begin from Monday 7 September, 2020.

Recall that JAMB had met with heads of all tertiary institutions in the country on Monday 10 August (today).

The meeting was held with a view of reaching conclusions on the 2020/2021 admission into the nation’s institutions.

The outcome of that meeting now is that universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education have resolved to commence Post UTME screening from September 7 to November 18, 2020.

This was contained in an announcement made by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyele in Abuja at the end of the meeting.

According to the JAMB Registrar, this new date will give room to students writing WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB to take part in Post UTME screening.

Because, a good number of candidates are using awaiting results.

Bearing in mind that WAEC ends 7th September, after which NABTEB starts, and then NECO follows and end on 18th November.

Furthermore, to make the Post UTME 2020 screening convenient for candidates, JAMB registrar added that; institutions are at liberty to fix their post utme screening dates between September 7th – October 4th.

And for institutions that are unable to conduct their screening between that time, they can do so from November 18th.

What this mean is that from Monday 7th September, 2020, universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education can start conducting post utme screening.
