Value of this award
There are four scholarship amount offered, based on ranking against selection criteria:
i. $40,000 payable for one year in two equal installments per semester.
ii. $20,000 payable for one semester.
iii. $10,000 payable for one semester.
iv. $5,000 payable for one semester.
Note that the availability of some amounts may be limited to specified cohorts.

What you should know about these scholarships at Sydney
It is important you note the following before starting an application.
i. These scholarships are sponsored by the University of Sydney, Australia. This imply that the scholarships are to be taken at the University of Sydney.
ii. The scholarship is awarded under the Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarships scheme of the University of Sydney.
iii. Scholarships are open for international undergraduate and postgraduate students to study at University of Sydney from 2021.
iv. This scholarship is awarded only toward a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Distance learning and part-time programs are not covered by this award.
v. The scholarship is renewable for subsequent years, if you perform exceptional well in your studies and have no outstanding issues.
vi. Recipients of this scholarship may be invited to promote the program in which they are enrolled. Also, they may be required to represent the University of Sydney at student orientation, marketing events and corporate networking events.
Which courses are covered?
All undergraduate and postgraduate courses at University of Sydney are covered by this Vice Chancellor’s international scholarship.
Eligible Nationalities for this scholarship
Scholarship is open to citizens of all countries, except Australia and New Zealand..
Who’s eligible to apply?
To qualify for these scholarships, you must:
- be an international student.
- have applied for but not yet commenced an undergraduate or postgraduate course at the University of Sydney.
Also, applicants starting a second degree at the University of Sydney are eligible to apply. However, such applicants must not have previously held the Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarships.

All eligible students who have secured an unconditional offer of admission by the following dates will automatically be considered for the scholarship:

Round 1 – 15 October, 2020
Round 2 – 30 November, 2020
Round 3 – 15 January, 2021
For September 2, 2021
Round 1 – 28 February, 2021
Round 2 – 26 April, 2021
Round 3 – 30 June, 2021
