Nursing is one of the most lucrative profession in Nigeria. Not only does it have good job opportunities after school in Nigeria, it also present plenty opportunities to work abroad.

So if Nursing science is the course you have decided to study, then you have made a great choice. Although there are still other good courses to study in Nigeria.

Nursing is a noble profession. The study of Nursing science is a great way to contribute your quota to the health sector.

Nurses are a core part of a healthcare team. They often work closely with medical doctors in any given health situation. With a degree in Nursing (called B.Nurs.), you have plenty of job and career opportunities.

This post aims to show you the universities you can study Nursing science in Nigeria. These universities are accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to offer Nursing. They are also approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

Which means if you decide to study Nursing in any university not listed here, you won’t be able to go for NYSC. As a result, you won’t do internship and won’t be able to practice as well.

Remember, studying nursing at a university not approved will deny you the chance to go for service. And eventually, you won’t be able to practice as well.
