Can I know more about YYGS scholarships?

i. This scholarship is provided by Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS). YYGS is a program at Yale University, USA.

ii. So recipients of this scholarship will be part of the Yale Young Global Scholars program at Yale.

iii. The YYGS is a two weeks session that takes place at Yale University campus, Connecticut, USA.

iv. The Yale scholarships are offered each year to students from across the world.

Which Nationalities are eligible?

These scholarships are open to international students from all countries, as well as students in the US.

Who’s eligible?

To be considered for the Yale fully funded scholarships, you must:

1. Be at least 16 years old by July 19, 2021 (first day of Session III).

2. Be able to participate in a rigorous academic curriculum conducted in English.

3. Be a current high school sophomore or junior (or international equivalent for those from outside the USA).

4. Be participating for the first time in YYGS program.

If you previously participated in any YYGS session (e.g., 2020, 2019), then you are not eligible for the 2021 YYGS scholarships.

5. Have completed the entire online YYGS Application, including the need-based Financial Aid section, by the deadline below.

NOTE: You are also eligible if:

1. You previously applied to YYGS but were not offered admission.

2. You were unable to attend last year even though you were offered admission.

Provided you meet the eligibility criteria above, you can re-apply now for the 2021 YYGS scholarships.

As part of reviewing your financial aid request, YYGS staff will automatically review whether or not you meet any of our 2021 scholarships’ eligibility requirements, and contact you when decisions are released by mid-March

Deadline

The closing date for applying is November 10, 2020 (early action) and January 12, 2021 (regular decision). Its at your discretion to submit an early or late application.

When will I learn of a decision?

Successful applicants will be notified of the scholarship award by December 20, 2020 (early action) and March 5, 2021 (regular decision). For full terms and conditions please refer to their website.
