This scholarship is provided by the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) annually, and is available to a wide range of applicants. And you should also bear in mind that this award is given on the basis of academic merit. So there is nothing like knowing anybody.

What’s on offer?

According to Oxford, this scholarship will cover 100% of course fees and a grant for living costs (at least £15,609).

The scholarship is made for the full duration of your study.

To be eligible for this award, you must be applying to start a new full-time master’s or DPhil course at University of Oxford.

a. ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and from a Muslim community (with preference given to those from a financially disadvantaged household), or

  • Go to Oxford website
  • complete the graduate application form
  • tick the box for Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies Scholarship on the form.
  • submit your application for graduate study by the relevant course deadline.
  • complete an Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies Scholarships Supporting Statement and upload it, together with your graduate application form, by the deadline.
