These scholarships are available to home and international students to study in the UK from 2021/2022.

i. These scholarships are funded by the University of Nottingham, UK.
ii. Candidates for this scholarship must be willing to study at Nottingham from September 2021 entry.
iii. The University of Nottingham offers these scholarships under the International Sporting Excellence Award and Sports scholarship.
iv. These sports scholarships are suited for high-achieving athletes in any sport.
v. The University of Nottingham awards these sport scholarships every year.

What’s the value of this award?
These awards are available in two category;
- International Sporting Excellence Award;
- Sport Scholarship.
The International Sporting Excellence Award is worth £5,000 towards full-time tuition fees for international students at any study level with outstanding sporting ability.
While the sports scholarship include financial support of £1,000 to £8,000 towards training and competition expenses. This is in addition to other benefits including mentoring, sports psychology and nutrition advice, contributing to a total scholarship value of £4,500 to £13,500.
Take note that the International Sporting Excellence Award and the Sports scholarship are two separate packages. So you can apply for both.

What courses can I study with this scholarship?
You can study any course but you should also have outstanding sporting ability.
Which nationalities are eligible?
The International Sporting Excellence Award is available to international students from outside the UK only. While the sports scholarship is available to students from any country including the UK.
Who can apply?
To apply for these International Sporting Excellence Award and Sport scholarship in UK, you must:
1. be of academy, national or international standard in any sport or show strong evidence of future outstanding potential;
2. be classed as an international student for fee purposes (for International Sporting Excellence Award). However, both home and international students are eligible for sports scholarship.
3. hold an offer to start a full-time course in any subject area at the University of Nottingham UK in September 2021.

NOTE:
You do not need to receive an admission offer before applying for this scholarship. However, you should apply for a course at University of Nottingham as soon as possible.
You may be shortlisted for a scholarship after you submit your scholarship application. But you must receive an admission offer before a scholarship can be awarded to you.
And you may be offered either an International Sporting Excellence Award or Sports scholarship.
