Application is now open for the 2022 Felix scholarships to study in the UK. These scholarships are awarded based on financial need and academic merit.
Felix scholarship is available each year to international students from low-income countries to undertake a full-time postgraduate degree at any of these UK universities:
i. University of Oxford
ii. University of Reading and
iii. School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
How much is the scholarship worth?
Felix scholarship is somewhat fully funded. It covers:
- tuition fees and
- stipend to cover living expenses (around £14,570).
How many: Approximately 20 scholarships are awarded annually.

Which programs does the scholarship cover?
Felix scholarships are awarded to international students going for either Master’s or PhD/DPhil in UK.
Who is eligible?
To become eligible to receive a Felix scholarship you must:
1. hold at least a first class Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or other institution of similar standing.
2. be applying for a full-time postgraduate degree at any of the eligible universities above for 2022 entry.
3. be able to show financial need, as well as academic achievement.
4. be willing to return to work in your home country after rounding off your studies in the UK.
NOTE: You cannot apply for a scholarship for masters study if you already hold a master’s degree.

Felix scholarship is open to:
- Indian citizens and
- citizens of developing or low-income countries.

How to apply for scholarship
Before starting an application, bear in mind that you can only apply to one of the three eligible UK universities for this scholarship.
Moreover, there is no separate application process for the award. Which means you’re required to apply for a postgraduate course at any of the universities to receive this scholarship.

When is the deadline?
Application for Felix scholarships close at the following dates:
University of Oxford: December 2021 or January 2022 (depending on your course deadline).
University of Reading: 30th January 2022.
SOAS, London: 31st January 2022.
