Application for 2021/2022 MTN scholarships is now open. All the details about the scholarship including who can apply and how to apply is on this page.
MTN scholarships support undergraduate students in Nigerian tertiary institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education). These scholarships are awarded annually, with this application window making it the 12th year running.
MTN awards these scholarships in three categories;
1. MTN Top 10 UTME Scholarship
2. MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS) and
3. MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS).
A total of 300 students are awarded the MTN Science and Technology Scholarship, while 60 blind students are awarded the MTN Scholarship for Blind students.
How much is this scholarship worth?
MTN scholarship recipients receive ₦200,000 annually for three (3) years till they graduate. However, you must continue to perform well academically to receive the scholarship amount for subsequent years.

Which programs does the scholarship cover?
MTN Science and Technology Scholarship is open to students studying Science and Technology-related courses, while MTN Scholarship for Blind Students covers all courses taken by blind students.
Who can apply?
Please confirm you meet the following criteria to apply for the 2021-22 MTN scholarship.
A. MTN Top 10 UTME Scholarship
1. This scholarship is awarded automatically to the top 10 scoring candidates of 2021 UTME as announced by JAMB.
2. Successful students enjoy the scholarship from 100 level till they graduate, irrespective of their course of study.
B. MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS)
You can apply for this scholarship if you:
1. a blind registered student of a Nigerian tertiary institution.
2. are in 2o0 level
3. have a minimum CGPA o 2.5 (Second Class Lower)
C. MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS)
You can apply for this scholarship if you:
1. a registered student of a Nigerian tertiary institution.
2. are studying a Science and Technology related course.
3. in 300 level and
4. have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 (Second Class Upper)
