The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) UK invite candidates to apply for this fully-funded 4-year PhD studentships to start a research degree programme on 3 January 2022.
The awards are provided by Reckitt to London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

How much is this scholarship worth?
The Reckitt – LSHTM scholarship is fully funded and covers all cost for the PhD in Hygiene and Health.
More specifically, the PhD scholarship covers:
- Tuition fees at the LSHTM overseas fee rate for the duration of the research project (up to 4 years).
- An annual tax-free stipend equal to the UKRI stipend level (inclusive of London weighting).
- Up to GBP20,000 for research costs, travel and/or training.
There are three (3) scholarships to be awarded.

Which nationalities are eligible?
This fully funded PhD scholarship is open to citizens of a country in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Who can apply?
To be eligible for this fully funded PhD scholarship at LSHTM, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
1. Be from a country in Sub-Saharan Africa.
2. Meet the minimum LSHTM entry requirements.

How do I apply for the scholarship?
To apply for this studentship, you should submit an application for research degree study through the LSHTM application portal.
In your application, you are required to develop a research proposal based on one of the eight projects listed on LSHTM website.
You are also required to include a personal statement in section 6 of the online form in which you describe your long-term career goals and vision for contributing to research into hygiene and health in Sub-Saharan Africa.
